A ballerina nightgown

Lily has lots of recon'd pj's but most of them are shirt and pants. Since she's a sweater like her brother (just not quite AS bad), we knew she'd need a few gowns to wear during the summer.
So I hit Sewzannes for some cute knits and some matching FOE and this was the first nighty i made her.
I drafted the pattern myself using the approximate sizes of a simple dress she has.

And of course, my camera battery was dead so I had to use my cellphone. But here you go. You can see the pillows I made.

A favor for my mom

So now that I've been sewing a lot more, my Mom has asked me to make something for her.
She bought a newer, bigger bed, so she needed new bedding. She found a set she loved, but it came with a bed skirt that she didn't need, and 3 25"x25" throw pillow shams that she had no pillows to use with. So she asked me to make her a few 25x25" throw pillows as well as a bolster/roll pillow, and then to chop up the bed skirt to make a sham for the bolster pillow.

I've been working on this for the last 2 days with friends visiting from OOT. I did one pillow one morning before my friends woke up. LOL. The roll pillow last night while watching biggest loser, and started the sham this morning before Jana got up.
This is what I have so far.

Here is everything

Here is the neck roll pillow(25" long, 6.5" in diameter)

I think she likes it... (and a mound of clothes)

This weekend we visited my parents. My mom had a box of clothes that were going to good will, and she told me to go pick out whatever I wanted to reconstruct for the kids. I came home with a big ol' mound of clothes.

So today I started working on one of the shirts.

It started as a woman's size Medium tank top. Too short for both my mom and I.

It's new life is as a cross-back tank top in a size 12M for Lily. Paired with a pair of store bought 6m stretchy capri pants for the pics :)
